Three persons arrested, impersonating themselves as Delhi Police personnel

Satbir Singh and Ct. Kanwar Sain were on area Patrolling duty on Govt.
Motorcycle . At about 12.40 PM, they
noticed a Santro Car No. DL-9CA-5326, parked on the road near CNG Pump
Utsav Ground, Road No. 57A I.P. Extn.,
New Delhi. Three persons were standing
outside the Car in suspicious condition. Some blankets were kept in the car. When Police
Staff of PS. Madhu Vihar asked them about their presence, they introduced
themselves as police personnel. Inspr.
Raj Kumar Saha, SHO/Madhu Vihar also reached at the spot. On
suspicion they were asked to show their I-Cards. One of them who was later identified as Nawab
Malik shown an I-Card of Delhi Police which
was issued in the name of HC Sayeed Akhtar .
Showing his presence of mind Inspr. Raj Kumar Saha asked about his PIS Number but he had no clue about it.
During enquiry, the I- Card was got verified and it was found fake. On sustained interrogation all the three persons were identified as (1) Nawab Ali S/o Abdul Azij (2) Iklash S/o Abdul Azij and (3)Nadeem S/o Shamiulla Khan. Nawab Ali and Iklash are real brothers. HC Sayeed Akthar is posted at PS. Lahori Gate and he is brother-in-law of Nawab Ali and Iklash. A
case of forgery and impersonating as Govt. Servant has been registered at
PS.Madhu Vihar. Accused Nawab Malik has disclosed that his
brother-in-law Sayeed Akhtar is Head Constable in Delhi Police. He prepared the
fake I Card after scanning the I-Card of his brother-in-law. He was using this
I-Card for hassle free movement in Delhi/NCR area. Detailed interrogation is
being carried out. |
